From the very beginning, 27 years ago,when I first started my business, I’ve always strived for perfection . From the initial meeting through to the day you take your portrait home we work to make every step of the process a wonderful experience. We consider our portraits an investment that will last a lifetime and we go the extra mile to ensure your total and complete satisfaction. We do this by spending time in the initial consultation(free,with no obligations) to discuss in detail your vision for what you want the finished portrait to look like. We go over clothing, makeup, and hair. We tour the gardens and grounds and give ideas and suggestions for areas you would like to have your portrait taken in. We will discuss film and digital merits and black and white versus color, and explain in great detail the process of our master painted portraits and hand tinted black and white works of art. We make each and every photo session a fun and enjoyable experience. We block 2 hours for each session so you may try many different areas as well as change clothing and do shots in the studio as well as the gardens. Having done literally thousands of shoots over the years I have become one with my camera, or so my family tells me. That gives me great freedom to really connect with who is in front of me and to also put them at ease,no matter whether you are 6 or 60, teen boy or tyrannical 2 year old. I truly enjoy all my shoots as every person is unique and I love to capture the essence of who they really are. Once our photo session is over we book another 2 hour appointment to view your images and place your order. We project your images very large as a slide show then go back over them one by one to narrow down your favorites. We will show them side by side and help you make your decision on what would look best as a large portrait. After you place your order you will receive a 16 x 20 proof (for 16×20 portraits or larger) to mark up with any and all artwork you would like done to it. You can be as detailed as you want and we will also offer our expertise on what would enhance and improve the final image. Once this is done we will have the artists at our lab do all the work requested and send another 8 x 10 proof. We will repeat this process until you are 100% satisfied and at that time the final portrait will be printed. We go this extra mile because we really do believe its possible to obtain perfection and our greatest desire is that this is what you see each time you gaze at your portraits for years to come.
